Content Monetization in the Social Web: How Do You Make Money Out of Social?

Last Thursday (31st January) I spoke at Digital Content Monetization Europe. While I’m always pleased to speak, I think I learnt a key lesson about when to be in a conference order, particularly if its midweek and the delegate audience is higher managers: always attempt to speak on the first day. I’ve spoken at three events where its felt fairly corporate (people wearing suits and the like) and the truth is, at all of them, the audience got bored and flaked off by the second afternoon. Still, I’ve got absolutely no gripes about speaking – it’s always a great opportunity to meet good new people, and I managed that.

I didn’t actually receive any Twitter feedback for this one! (a first). However, a write up of the first half of this presentation can be found at The Non Assessing the Non-Financial Benefits of Social Media Investment on State of Search.
